Bengali Cultural Association Kharghar is an association of Bengalis formed by a handful of expatriate Bengali families in 2003 in Kharghar, It has grown in strength over the years. Today, we are being recognised not only as an association but also as an emotion and a sentiment for all of us and it remains a great alliance with a great tradition of solidarity and a feeling of togetherness.

Our simple philosophy that “we should not forget our Roots” and percolate this to our next generations.

Keeping this in mind, our yearly cultural programs include the celebration of Bengali new year’s day, Rabindra Jayanti, Nazrul Sandhya, Pujor Agamoni Adda as well as Bijaya Sammelani
Our members actively participate in these cultural programs.

We have been celebrating Durga Puja for the last fourteen years with unparalleled pomp, gaiety and austerity bringing the flavours of real Bengal during the five days of celebration.

The Association also celebrate Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja & Sarasvati puja with the same enthusiasm.

Our Association continues to mark its journey with significant milestones highlighting achievements in the socio-cultural field.

Our Association has always endeavoured to propagate our rich cultural heritage to local people of different communities and we have been successfully able to mark our presence in the field.
Our Hamble efforts to contribute towards social causes are also being continued for the last fourteen years and we are gradually increasing the spectrum according to our financial capabilities.

Finally, Icing on the cake- it’s indeed a proud moment of delight to announce that the land admeasuring 1011.93 sqm for Kalamata temple has been acquired by us from Town planning agency CIDCO at Sector - 22, (Plot No. 10, Near Gurudwara, opp Central Park) Kharghar Navi Mumbai on 2016.

We are very happy to share with you that our dream project to build a Kali Mata Temple is very soon going to be a reality. This special project is also features of shelter for poor’s & needy cancer patients, affordable Community hall for everyone along with kali Mata Temple. The overwhelming support we have received all these years, defying language barrier, goes to prove that we remain Indian at Heart and our commitment towards the socio-economic community development in the State of Maharashtra.

We would like to announce that “Bhoomi- Pooja” of this special project to be held on October 15th, 2017.

We would be very grateful for your support and blessings which enabled us to reach the first milestone towards achieving the goal of conducting “Bhoomi Pooja” for a very noble cause. This noble project has secured all final approvals pertaining to the land registration and the building plan which has been approved by CIDCO.

We solicit your support and co-operation to generate fund which would be utilized for temple construction and provision for community services.

Hope that you would lend your arms for such a noble cause and be a part of our divine journey in making the temple stand tall.
